Primitivo PR

Who We Are

Student Run PR firm | Primitivo

Primitivo is the student-run campus public relations firm. Within Primitivo, there are student-client relationships that are typically semester long. Each semester, Primitivo takes on several clients where student teams are then made to work alongside the clients. Overall, we worked to promote, campaign, design and plan. Our clients ranged from clubs on campus to local small businesses.

Clients

Stomping Grounds | Culinary Services

Stomping Grounds was the new cafe on campus. It speaks to Sonoma County by providing a selection of wines while also speaking to students by being affordable, healthy and on-the-go. They are aligned with the overall goals of culinary services: be healthy, affordable, sustainable, and tasty. We worked to make sure students knew all the fine details that go into the food, and venues, they spent time and money on. We also helped Stomping Grounds establish their reputation. While Stomping Grounds was our biggest project, we also worked with all the dining venues on campus through culinary services.

School of A&H | Dean Robbins

The Arts & Humanities new dean of students, Dean Robbins, has decided to redo the whole A&H department and asked Primitivo to help. As part of our duties, we helped launch and establish new projects to gain more recognition among students in the department. This includes creating a newsletter just for students in the school of A&H, helping create new clubs to offer as well as the branding and social media that goes with it, outreach to current students and alumni for student features, and setting up plans and calendars to follow moving forward.

Finished Work

Projects | Stomping Grounds

For our client, we have worked to make Stomping Grounds known as a campus must. Our goals were to help the new dining venue become established as well as help reestablish and revamp former locations.

Primitivo worked to showcase the wonderful things Stomping Grounds, as well as Culinary Services, did that would resinate and align with students on campus. This included press releases, a marketing video, creating social media content, making flyers and rewriting tons of verbiage with the goal to reach and be relatable to more students. We reached out and utilized different outlets all with the intensions to reach more students.

Projects | Department of A&H

As Dean Robbins took over the department, she immediately wanted to create and rebuild a sense of pride in the department. In representing her and helping her succeed in her goals, we helped among different branches within the department. The over arching goal was to have the whole department-- students, staff and programs-- step forward together with pride and accomplishment.

Some of the more exciting things Primitivo worked on was the groundwork for two new clubs to launch next semester. We focused on branding, social media, flyers, content, posts and outreach. As well as juggling these new projects and helping them bloom, we also worked to deepen the preexisting roots in the department by creating student spotlights and alumni spotlights featuring students and emphasizing pride back in to the department.

A letter to Previous Me and My Reader

Blog Post | Primitivo Site

While Primitivo is made of student teams, we are all one collective group. We learn together, give advice, help and support each other. We have pride in our work as individuals, but also as a student run PR establishment.

As a side project, we all are responsible for creating a blog post to keep our Primitivo page updated. This brings us back to our bigger picture and serves as a representation of who we are as well as offers advice.

The blog piece I wrote was a letter to my former self from my current self. It is a piece I believe accurately represents my writing style and narrates my voice.
